EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOP ON MICRO- TEACHING

             The Micro-Teaching Workshop was conducted in the college on Monday and Wednesday. After the assembly, the workshop started at 10 am in the seminar hall. 'Introduction of Micro- Teaching', college principal Mrs. Nimmi Varghese took as the first class. What is micro- teaching, some history of micro- teaching, features, merits, demerits, difference between class room and micro- teaching classroom,etc- the teacher explained. Micro- Teaching have some components, that is

1. 5 to 10 students
2. 5 to 10 minutes
3. one content
4. one skill

              Micro teaching is an scale down technique. Planning, teaching, feedback , re-planning, re- teaching and re- feedback are the steps in micro teaching. After this session there was a break. All the teachers took the class with 2 skills during the session. Take the class for components, merits and demerits of all skills. 

Mrs. Remya M.R. - Skill of introducing a lesson and Skill of reinforcement
Mrs. Harsha S.       - Skill of explaining and Skill of illustrating with examples
Miss. Rana Mary Rajan - Skill of probing questions and skill of fluency in questioning
Mrs. Preethi M. S. - Skill of demonstration and Skill of using black board
Mr. Dinesh S. - Skill of stimulus variation and Skill of achieving closure 
Mrs. Beema L. - Skill of using ICT 

             The workshop was for 2 days. The workshop was held where we students were divided into groups. There were breaks and warm ups in between. Text was conducted using google form to confirm whether the last taught was understood for 2 days. Everyone took workshop sessions using ICT. The workshop received good feedback. This workshop was more effective than learning in class. This workshop helped us a lot to understand the theory of micro teaching.

Criticism Class

  DATE : 03/08/2023  and 04/08/2023 PLACE : H. H. MARTHOMA MATHEWS II TRAINING COLLEGE, ADOOR Criticism class which is a part of B. Ed curriculum was held on 3/8/2023 and 4/08/2023.  The class was in Natural  Science class.  St.  The pupils were 8th and 9th class students from Mary's school.  My class was an advance organizer model and 2 activities.  My lesson topics were 'Excretory Organs' , 'Structure Of Eye' and 'Structure Of Ear' in class.  After the class, my guide and other fellow teachers and students of the class gave me criticism.  I gave back.
